The standards were benchmarked against other TVET teacher/trainer developments in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Australia. Standards in Namibia, Africa; Germany, Sri Lanka, Timor Lester, and Indonesia were also considered. The competency standards represent the skills and attributes required by all TVET Teachers/ Trainers delivering the national certificates under the NTVQF.
